OGLESBY – At the Oglesby city council meeting Monday night Commissioner of Electric, Streets, Water, and Sewer Jason Curran said that an audit of the community’s energy use may yield some positive news. He stated that himself and Mayor Dom Rivara met with BHMG Engineers to look over the draft of the electric rate study. They expect a formal presentation on January 4th with the Missouri company to release their full findings which may establish rates for industrial users. Mayor Rivara also announced that all five households that entered the Christmas Light contest were declared winners, each getting a $100 electric bill credit for participating.
