OGLESBY- Illinois Valley Community College will offer summer online classes in Computer Aided Design and Blueprint Reading beginning Wednesday.

A beginning class in AutoCAD, CAD1200 will provide students access to a leading software in the engineering and drafting industry. Online delivery will include instructor Dorene Data leading live sessions, video instruction and access to countless resources.

CAD1200 is one of four CAD/drafting courses that are part of a four-course certificate in Computer Aided Design. The certificate can be added to other classes and result in two “stackable certificates” and along with general education classes can ultimately lead to an Associate in Applied Science degree.   Blueprint Reading is for students in welding, manufacturing and HVAC.
