MENDOTA – OSF HealthCare Saint Paul Medical Center is pleased to announce Leonardo Lopez, MD has been named the chief medical officer for OSF HealthCare Saint Paul Medical Center.
In this role, Dr. Lopez will be accountable for leading the practice of medicine as a member of the hospital executive team. Dr. Lopez will ensure consistency in practice standards and facilitate an interdisciplinary team approach to the delivery of care. He will develop and share the vision and strategic direction for the practice of medicine, collaborating on the implementation of strategies. Dr. Lopez will continue to serve as the medical director of quality and safety at OSF HealthCare Saint Elizabeth Medical Center. In addition, he will continue to see patients in his family medicine practice in Mendota.
Dr. Lopez received his Bachelor in Biology from the University of Illinois. He completed his medical degree at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine.
