Ottawa’s Thornton Park ice rink opening soon!

OTTAWA – The day may finally come to bring out those ice skates and enjoy Ottawa’s new NHL-sized ice rink. Commissioner James Less was happy to announce that Tuesday, January 22nd at 7 a.m. will be the official opening of the Thornton Park Ice Rink, weather permitting. The rink will be open to the public, free of charge. Commissioner Less says the city has intentions of holding a more formal grant opening event in the near future. While admission is free, is it required to bring your own ice skates.
