Over 12 pounds of purported cocaine found after traffic stop in Mclean County

CARLOCK – For the second time in a week, Illinois State Police Troopers seized over 12 pounds of purported cocaine in McLean County. According to authorities, Troopers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle on Interstate 74 near Carlock on Thursday after allegedly observing a traffic violation. During the stop, signs of possible criminal activity was observed by the trooper. Police say a probable cause search resulted in the seizure of five kilograms of suspected cocaine. The driver, 60-year-old Carlos A. Borge, of West Valley, Utah, was arrested for Controlled Substance Trafficking, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Borge was transported to the McLean County Jail and is being held on $200,000 bond.
