PERU – Peru’s City Council approved D Construction to take on their mandated sewer separation project. D Construction was the lowest bidder of the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency’s project at just under $2 million. Peru Aldermen were happy to report that the project will be funded without borrowing. Along with sewer separation, the project includes replacing aged sidewalks and water mains. The project is located west of Route 251, including 5th to 10th streets.
