Peru Chief Praises Quick Response to Robbery

PERU – The Oglesby, LaSalle and Peru police received recognition for apprehending suspects that allegedly committed an armed robbery at a Walgreen’s Pharmacy last week. Chief Bernabei of the Peru Police Department in a letter released Tuesday believed that if not for the actions of all the personnel that day, the robbery investigation would not have come to such a speedy and safe resolution. Four people were taken into custody July 17th after the armed robbery of the pharmacy located on Shooting Park Road.
