PERU – In a long statement released Saturday by a Peru Police Chief Doug Bernabei, he asked for the public to be more understanding when it comes to social distancing, especially in the city parks.
”Sadly, a very few have lashed out both verbally as well as taking to social media to the point of calling us stupid. Trust me, Peru police officers are not stupid, they are trying to save lives.”
The parks in Peru remain open, but officials do ask you stay 6 feet apart at all times.
