OTTAWA – The proposed LaSalle County Adult Drug Court Program will soon be in action, although LaSalle County State’s Attorney Karen Donnelly cautions that it will take time to get up and running. She indicated that they need to hire an additional probation officer that will need certification and a part-time case coordinator. The Drug Court, started with a grant of over $100,000 from the State, will help with the enforcement and rehabilitation of drug offenders in the county. The program will require Illinois Supreme Court pre-certification before they can start accepting participants. Donnelly said that consultants to the program will try to get it started quickly.
