PERU – A road that travels under I-80 will be closed for ongoing bridge reconstruction of the interstate in LaSalle County. The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that East Third Road will be closed starting Friday through the weekend so that the westbound lane bridge of I-80 can be demolished. The work is part of a project to replace many of the bridges that carry I-80 through the Illinois Valley.
