HENNEPIN – An ethanol and grain handling facility in north central Illinois was the scene of a large response by emergency crews after a call for a reported silo fire around 5 AM Wednesday. Authorities say they were summoned for the blaze that escalated to the seventh box alarm by mid morning at Marquis Energy, located one mile north of Hennepin. They are the largest dry-mill ethanol facility in the United States. No word yet on the cause of the incident or any injuries.
