Sheridan – A Sheridan man was arrested by The Tri County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team, otherwise known as Trident. Trident officials say Wednesday afternoon they purchased 4 grams of heroin from a man they identify as 50 year old Lorne J. Barnes, of E. Grant Street, Sheridan. Authorities say after the purchase, officers were involved in a short foot chase before taking Barnes into custody without incident. Barnes was taken to the LaSalle County Jail and charged with a class 1 felony, Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance. (Photo LaSalle Co Sheriffs Office)
