Six new cases of COVID-19 discovered in LaSalle County

OTTAWA – The LaSalle County Health Department Wednesday announced six new cases of COVID-19 have been found.   This marks the biggest jump in cases in the last two weeks.  The infected include five men and one woman, ages ranging from their 20’s to their 80’s.  Health officials say Illinois is not projected to peak until mid-May so we expect to see additional cases in the coming weeks ahead.

 
On Sunday the LaSalle County Health Department stated 13 previously infected individuals were considered recovered.   Taking into account the one death that leaves 25 active cases in the county.
