Small brush fire extinguished near Spring Valley

SPRING VALLEY – The Spring Valley Fire Department quickly tackled a small brush fire Wednesday night. Around 8 PM crews were called to an area near the railroad tracks south of town for the small blaze. Crews were on scene for roughly a half hour and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was not disclosed.
