LELAND – Leland and Somonauk school board subcommittees will be gathering virtually Thursday to hear the results of a study regarding consolidation of the two school districts. Leland has around 260 students and Somonauk has around 820. Both schools share some athletic programs already. If they go forward, it would require a referendum on a ballot to be passed by residents to proceed with the merger. The meeting will include a powerpoint presentation and a question and answer session.
