Streator, Illinois – An 18 year old man died in Streator after being shot Sunday. Streator Police say they were called shortly before eight Sunday morning to the 400 block of North Sterling Street to a report of someone being shot. Upon their arrival, police found an 18 year old man dead from an apparent gunshot wound. Police say a male juvenile has been identified as a suspect in the shooting and is cooperating with the investigation.
Streator Police say more information will be released after the deceased’s next of kin has been notified. The LaSalle County Coroner’s Office, LaSalle County State’s Attorney’s Office, and Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit are assisting Streator Police in the investigation.
