Suspect Arrested in Ottawa Vehicle Burglaries

OTTAWA – On Sunday evening one man was taken into custody in Ottawa and charged with burglary after an investigation into vehicles being entered. In a release by the Ottawa Police Department, they say that around 10:30 p.m. near the 700 block of Chapel Street they were investigating multiple vehicle burglaries and located a man on the street they determined to be a suspect after an interview. Taken into custody was 19-year-old Nicholas R. D. Sobkowich of Marseilles. He was charged with allegedly two counts of burglary from a motor vehicle and taken to the LaSalle County Jail. He is being held on a $6,000 bond.
