Tri-Dent Arrests 14 Year Old; Chicago Men Selling Crack Cocaine

STREATOR – Two men and a 14-year-old teen are in custody after the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team arranged controlled purchases of crack cocaine Wednesday.  In a release, Tri-Dent stated that around 2 p.m. they met with an individual in the 900 block of East Main Street in Streator and arrested 26-year-0ld Deandre L. “Nephew” O’Neil of Chicago who allegedly delivered purported crack cocaine to agents.  An hour later nearby, around 3 p.m., agents conducted a controlled buy from a subject from Chicago, whom was later identified as a 14-year-old juvenile.  He was taken to the LaSalle County Juvenile Detention Home awaiting a hearing on a charge of felony delivery of a controlled substance.     Tri-Dent then moved to Ottawa where they conducted a buy/bust operation near York and Pearl St around 5 p.m., where allegedly they purchased purported crack cocaine from 23-year-old Rashad D. Barksdale of Chicago.   O’Neil and Barksdale were both taken to the LaSalle County Jail on felony delivery charges with bonds yet to be set.
