Turnout at 79% in LaSalle County for Presidential race

OTTAWA – Over 52,000 votes were cast in LaSalle County Tuesday with many local races being decided. State’s Attorney Karen Donnelly has lost her bid for re-election to Todd Martin by 1,718 votes. In the County Auditor race Stephanie Jo Thompson defeats Nikki Baer. The LaSalle County Board will have a new chair, as Donald Jensen defeats Jim Olson with nearly 60% of the vote. Douglas Stockley and Randy Freeman both retained their LaSalle County Board seats.
