OTTAWA – The Ottawa Salvation Army have kicked off their annual fundraising with the traditional bell ringing campaign this holiday season. Lt. Christian Smith of the Ottawa Salvation Army said the red kettle program has been around for nearly 100 years collecting funds to help support the projects the organization uses to give back to their community. The Salvation Army will still be seeking volunteers who want to become a bell ringer during these next few weeks. You can sign up online at www.RegistertoRing.com to participate.
