MARSHALL – A women suffered serious injuries after her vehicle fell 30 feet into a creek in Marshall County on Friday. According to Illinois State Police, just after 7 a.m. on Friday November 23rd, 68-year-old Linda Miatke of Sterling was heading northbound on Interstate-39 in the area of milepost 39, when her vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons, entered the center median and then fell 30 feet into a creek passing under Interstate 39. Authorities say Miatke received serious injuries and was transported from the scene via helicopter.
