LASALLE – Voters in the city of LaSalle will have the opportunity to vote on a referendum related to the city clerk position. On Tuesday, a question will be on the ballot asking if the city clerk position should be appointed by the Mayor or elected by citizens. Voters will also decide whether to implement a public safety sales tax for LaSalle County. Polling places are open Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the 2019 Spring Primary election. Voters in LaSalle County will also decide whether to implement a one quarter of one percent public safety sales tax.
