SPRINGFIELD- The State of Illinois Saturday released hospitalization statistics for the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. Of available hospital beds in the state, 22% of those were occupied by COVID-19 patients. There were a total of 4,340 persons hospitalized due to the pandemic, with 1,192 in ICU. Statewide, 876 ICU beds are currently not being used with 1,930 ventilators available out of 3,269.
