OTTAWA – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that full overnight closures of Interstate 80 in La Salle County begin Monday night. The project to remove and replace the bridge that carries East 12th Road over I-80 requires all lanes closed July 27th-29th from 9 PM to 5 AM. A detour will be posted utilizing Illinois 178, U.S. 6 and Illinois 23, and detoured motorists should expect slowed and stopped traffic at times. All lanes will be reopened for weekend traffic.
