PERU – The Peru Roundabout is over halfway complete. Mayor Scott Harl announced that the roundabout, the first ever in LaSalle County, is already approximately 60% done and was funding using city MFT (Motor Fuel Tax) funds with no debt on the project. A little over $2 million has already been spent on the project with approximately $1.7 million left to go. Harl added that the recreation trail, which allows pedestrians safe access to parks and government buildings, among other things, is already being used frequently.
