OTTAWA – The Wallace Fire Protection District appointed a new fire chief on Wednesday. Outgoing Chief Dave Parrot accepted a position to become the new chief for Marseilles, so Deputy Chief Chris Backos will be taking on the role of the new chief. Backos has been with the department for 22 years.
