PONTIAC – An Edwardsville woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Pontiac on Monday. According to Livingston County Coroner Danny Watson, just before 5 a.m. on Monday, authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate-55 near the Limestone Rest Area Northbound. Both drivers were transported to area hospitals and the Edwardsville woman was pronounced dead in the emergency room. No information was available on the condition of the other driver. An autopsy of the Edwardsville woman will be conducted. The incident is under investigation by the Livingston County Coroner’s Office and the Illinois State Police.
