NILES, IL — Some high school students from Northridge Prep School tried to pull a senior prank by bringing live animals into the school, including chickens, a pig, and a cow. The prank went wrong when the cow escaped and trotted off throughout the neighborhood. For six hours the students, authorities, and a couple of local farmers chased the cow until she was caught. The students have been cited for curfew violation, disorderly conduct, animal feces accumulation, and prohibited animal species in connection to the incident. However, the school is not pressing criminal charges.
