2024 Peru fireworks location ‘still on the table,’ mayor says
Less than 48 hours after the last boom of Peru’s fireworks display illuminated over the Illinois River along Water Street, social media discussion continued about where next year’s show will be.

The Peru City Council honored the state champion St. Bede softball team Wednesday with a pair of signs. One of them will go in Washington Park, and the other has been put up in McKinley Park.

Oglesby is finally getting a dog park. Wednesday, the Oglesby City Council voted 5-0 to utilize a city parcel for a “public dog run” and then agreed to purchase fencing to enclose it.
