3 killed in crash involving an Ambulance in Woodford County

ROANOKE – Three people were killed in a two vehicle crash that involved a Peru ambulance in Woodford County Saturday morning.  According to the Illinois State Police around 2 AM a car struck an ambulance at the intersection of Illinois 116 and 2400 East Road.   Authorities say the driver of the car, 20-year-old Morgan Ryder, passengers 19-year-old Jared Seggerman and 19-year-old Seth Unruh were killed.   Another passenger, a 21-year-old Minonk man, was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.   The driver of the ambulance, a 42-year-old LaSalle man, and the patient on board, a 78-year-old Ottawa woman, were taken to the hospital to be treated.   Another ambulance worker, a 25-year-old Earlville woman, was treated at the scene.   The crash, which is still under investigation, closed the road for about six hours.
