OTTAWA – The LaSalle County Health Department announced Saturday 47 new infections of COVID-19, bringing the overall total since the pandemic began to 743. A dozen of the new cases reported were in children in their teens and younger. 290 individuals are considered recovered from the disease in the county, with 24 deaths related to COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.
