MENDOTA – An opportunity to purchase salvaged items that survived the Illinois Avenue fire will be coming to Mendota this Saturday. The first downtown farmers’ market of the season will be joined by a street sale of furniture and other items that will be sold to raise money for Reimagine Mendota. The Farmer’s Market will be on Main Street adjacent to the train station from 8 AM to Noon, and the Street Sale will be from 9 AM to 2 PM on Illinois Avenue. Additional vendors will also be set up on the street to sell their items.
“There is board games, furniture, luggage, dishes and more.” said Annie Short from Reimagine Mendota, “and all proceeds will go to Reimagine Mendota and other organizations in Mendota.”
