PERU – Four area departments spent over an hour bringing a fire in Peru under control Thursday night. A little after 9 PM responders were called to an unoccupied residence in the 2400 block of 3rd Street in Peru for a home with smoke coming out of its windows. LaSalle, Oglesby and Spring Valley Departments also sent crews to the scene. No injuries were reported.
