OTTAWA – A Mendota man has died as a result of a vehicle crash in Mendota. According to the LaSalle County Coroner’s Office, 66-year-old Richard E. Hafley has died after his involvement in a multiple vehicle crash at the intersection of North 39th road and Route 251. The incident is to be further investigated by LaSalle County authorities and the Illinois State Police.
