OTTAWA – An area lawyer has been selected to be the newest judge in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. Christina M. Cantlin-VanWiggeren will be replacing Judge Eugene P. Daugherity, who was appointed to the Third District Appellate Court. Justice Robert L. Carter and the Supreme Court of Illinois made the announcement Tuesday. Ms. Cantlin-VanWiggeren has 20 years of experience in private practice, having worked at The Cantlin Law Firm since 2001.
“I would like to thank Justice Carter, the Illinois Supreme Court and the screening committee for this appointment,” Ms. Cantlin-VanWiggeren said. “I look forward to serving the citizens of the 13th Circuit as a member of the judiciary.”
