PERU – The Peru Police Department announced that a former chief has passed away. Police Chief Glenn Fredrickson died on Sunday at the age of 95. He was with the department from 1997 to 2006. During his time as Chief he established Crime Stoppers, Peer Jury, and the Citizen’s Police Academy. He also initiated the police department officers to all become first responders and equipped all officers with AED’s to enhance the abilities of the officers to provide important medical care.
