Gas Prices Drop Nationwide for Thanksgiving Holiday

CHICAGO – Gas prices have fallen significantly compared to last month, according to the American Automobile Association. Local gas prices for LaSalle County have seen a decrease of 26 cents, while Bureau takes the lead with a decrease of 37 cents, with LaSalle currently averaging 2.47 cents per gallon, and Bureau at 2.46 cents per gallon. Putnam County also falls within range at 2.49 cents per gallon. The AAA says, motorists can add cheaper gas prices to their list of things to be thankful for. Today’s national gas price average is $2.62, which is seven-cents less than a week ago and the largest one-week decline in pump price this year.
