LASALLE – The city of LaSalle’s Hegeler Park sewer separation project is near completion. At Monday nights city council meeting City Engineer Brian Brown reported that concrete work will finish up by Tuesday with top soil work to follow. The project that began in the spring removed all cross connections between storm and sanitary sewers. West of St. Vincent from Lincoln Elementary School north to O’Connor and West to Bucklin will drain into the new storm sewer. Brown says with the new sewer system, he anticipates a million gallons collected per inch of rainfall.
