A specialist on the study of insects testified Tuesday afternoon at the Clifford Andersen trial. Andersen is accused of the concealment and murder of his sister in law, Deborah Dewey. Dr. Amanda Roe, a forensic etymologist, reviewed insect specimens from the crime scene in Standard. Based on her examination of maggots, Dr. Roe inferred that Dewey’s body was wrapped almost immediately after she was killed. Dr. Roe also believes that the evidence indicates that Dewey was killed five to ten days before August 31, 2016.
