OGLESBY- Ag students at Illinois Valley Community College got hands on training in the use of spraying equipment with a simulator on loan to the school from GRAINCO FS. The simulator provides training in driving, field navigation and row crop production. Precision agriculture students are required to complete four simulator modules for beginners.
“Students are gaining a virtual perspective of the skill and talent required to operate high tech commercial sprayers,” said IVCC ag instructor Willard Mott.
“The GRAINCO FS sprayer simulator is as close to operating the real thing as you can get without the risk of a real machine,” Mott added.
