LaSalle County remains at orange COVID-19 warning level


OTTAWA – The LaSalle County Health Department is reminding residents that the county remains at an orange warning level for COVID-19 risk metrics. The orange status indicates that there are warning signs of increased COVID-19 risk. They add that the county has experienced a drastic rise in the number of cases and the 7-day test positivity rate has remained well above 8%. The LCHD reminds residents to stay home as much as possible. A male in his 80’s has reportedly died from COVID-19 related complications, and 139 new cases were reported. There have now been a total of 111 deaths since the start of the pandemic and 5,317 cases.
