OTTAWA – The LaSalle County State’s Attorney Karen Donnelly said Wednesday that she withdrew a petition for an Order for Quarantine after an individual who had been likely exposed to COVID-19 agreed to cooperate. The LaSalle County Health Department had told the person, who was not identified, to remain in isolation and allegedly refused. The individual later contacted the State’s Attorney’s Office and the matter was withdrawn.
Donnelly said on Wednesday night “ I will do what is required to protect public health and safety.”
