SPRING VALLEY – The Master Walleyes Circuit dives into the Illinois River in Spring Valley for its 35th year running this weekend. The televised two-day event kicks off on Friday at the Spring Valley Boat Club at 7:30 a.m. 80 teams of two are set to compete for the heartiest catch of walleye, sauger and saugeye. Spring Valley’s Economic Development Director Debb Ladgenski says the nationwide circuit is a great way for contestants from all parts to enjoy the Illinois River. The Battle on the Illinois River tournament will be this Sunday at Barto Landing at 7 a.m.
