CHICAGO – Spring will be unleashing another round of potentially severe weather across the Midwest today, as forecasters predict possible destructive hail and tornadoes for the area. Many communities across north central Illinois are skipping the required outdoor warning siren test today to avoid confusion. Clusters of supercell thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon. Although these will not be as organized as the line of storms last Friday that caused over a dozen tornadoes in the state, the severe weather risk remains high.
