MORRIS – A Will County man has died after he went missing in the Illinois River on Sunday. Grundy County Coroner John W. Callahan released a statement that on Tuesday morning a body was recovered west of where the DuPage and Kankakee Rivers meet. An autopsy was performed and the person was identified as 47-year-old Baldur Kirsch Jr. of Wilmington. According to the coroner’s office, there are conflicting details as to how he came to be in the water, and the death remains under investigation.
