SPRING VALLEY – A woman was injured after a single vehicle crash that caused the car to be entangled in live power lines. The Spring Valley Fire Department was called to Route 29 near the city limits around 5:45 AM Monday for the crash which caused a power pole and transformer to topple. According to Spring Valley Fire Chief Todd Bogatitus, the woman had to remain in the car until Ameren could shut off power. She was transported to an area hospital and her condition was not disclosed. The crash remains under investigation.
