PERU – Peru aldermen voted to go forward with an agreement with Counsilman-Hunsaker & Associates to start a feasibility study for a public pool in Peru. The study would look at the cost of both construction and operation of a pool in Peru. Members of the community expressed their desire for a pool and how it would be beneficial for the community. Although some aldermen had stated that there are enough pools near Peru that the city does not need its own, City Engineer Eric Carls explained that the feasibility study would examine how a new pool would impact the area.
