MENDOTA – The Friends of the Track Fund Committee made an appearance at Monday night’s Mendota City Council Meeting. A representative from the committee explained that the Elementary School had just resurfaced the track and that the committee was trying to raise half of the cost in order for the school to spend elsewhere. He asked that the council consider donating at least $10,000 to their efforts. Mayor Boelk deciding to hold off on making any decisions until the second meeting in February.
