Illinois Coronavirus Numbers Continue to Improve

CHICAGO – Illinois Department of Public Health released their daily Covid-19 report, and new infections and fatalities showed their lowest Saturday totals since March.  Health officials say 673 new confirmed cases were logged in the past 24 hours, and 29 additional deaths.  That’s the lowest Saturday numbers since March 28th.  Numbers typically vary depending on the day of the week due to reporting fluctuations, and Saturday is usually the 3rd lowest day of the week, behind Sunday and Monday. Locally, the LaSalle County Health Department reported no new cases in the county in the past 24 hours.  Last night, the Bureau, Putnam and Marshall County Health department reorted one new case, a woman in her 40’s who in isolation at her Bureau County home.
