SPRINGFIELD – Illinois Supreme Court Justice Thomas Kilbride did not meet the required threshold to remain on the bench after the election Tuesday. The former Chief Justice only received 56.4% of the vote, short of the 60% required to retain his position. Kilbride said Wednesday that he was disappointed in the apparent outcome. He had been a member of the Illinois Supreme Court since 2000.
